Abstract

The talk will discuss the phylogeny of the Sino-Tibetan languages over the last 7000 years from historical linguistic, archaeological, genetic and paleoclimate perspectives. Data will include etyma for domestic animals and cultivated plants reconstructed for various stages of Proto-Sino-Tibetan and Proto-Tibeto-Burman, the ancient distribution of these animals and plants, ancient genomes and ancient climate changes.
