Wang Hui is Professor of Literature and History and director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at Tsinghua University, Beijing. He has been a Visiting Professor at Harvard, Bologna, Stanford, UCLA and others. His research focuses on contemporary Chinese literature and intellectual history. Professor Wang’s publications include the four volume work The Rise of Modern Chinese Thought (2004), The End of the Revolution (2009) and An Asian Perspective: Narratives of Chinese History (2010).
