Legal Opinion

The University Library commissioned Prof. Dr. Reto M. Hilty and Dr. Matthias Seemann to draw up an expert opinion on Open Access. The focus of interest is on legal issues relating to the operation of repositories, i.e. internet servers such as ZORA, which serve to make academic publications accessible. In particular, the question arises to what extent publications that have already been published by academic publishers may be deposited in repositories.
