UB Medicine Careum Study Room

Access is possible with UZH Card (daily from 7:00 to 23:00).

• There are around 300 study spaces, whereof 8 with PC/screen (see devices).
• UZH members can book some of these study spaces online:
  • Basement floor (SG): UZH membersbooked-UB SG
  • MediZone: MeF students of UZHbooked-UB MediZone
• Some study spaces can be used without prior reservation.
• Vacant study spaces can be used at any time, but reservations take priority.

Devices

• 8 study spaces with external screen (USB-C)
• Printer (UZH Print Plus instructions)

Long-term lockers

• 184 long-term lockers
• Authorized persons:
  • Basement floor: all UZH students. Reservation possible via swisscovery
  • MediZone: students of the Faculty of Medicine. Reservation possible via swisscovery
• Condition: valid, validated UZH Card
• Rental period: 6 months
• Rental fee: CHF 20.- per semester

A validated, valid UZH Card is required to use the study room on the basement floor.
The MediZone, a partial area of the study room, is reserved for UZH medical students.

Info Desk

The info desk is located in the UB Medizin Careum on the ground floor. During the general opening hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00am-8:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm, the info desk is the contact point for all kinds of questions and messages. Outside the general opening hours you can reach us at medizin@ub.uzh.ch.

The student information database is updated at the beginning of each new semester on 1 August and 1 February.

All students and doctoral candidates who wish to use the UB Medicine Careum as a place of learning are advised to enroll by the deadline. Applications for access cards must be submitted by 30 June at the latest together with the certificate of exmatriculation.
