Locker keys can be borrowed at the location.
The lockers are located in the building of the German Department. During general opening hours, access is possible via the rear library exit (by the info desk). During building opening hours, the lockers are accessible via the entrance to the German Department.
The literature section of the library mainly collects primary literature by German-language authors. The associated secondary literature is also taken into account. The majority of the works are from the 19th and 20th century. Another focus of the collection is the field of literary theory.
The linguistics section of the library contains research literature on numerous topics in German linguistics and its neighboring disciplines. Different generations of teachers have shaped the collection with their various research priorities. Certain areas are very well represented and have been maintained since the founding of the library in the 19th century.
The library of Nordic Language and Literature is one of the largest Nordic studies libraries in the German-speaking world. Literature on almost every aspect of Nordic literary and intellectual history, linguistics, and medieval studies can be found here. One focus is on Nordic primary and secondary literature.
The medieval section, with all relevant literature on Runic Lore, Edda texts, Skaldic poetry, saga literature, as well as spiritual and academic prose texts, also makes a large part of the collection.
